My HDB Selection

I has been 2 mths since we know our Q no for Buangkok Vale BTO and now this is the time to really sit down and analyse each and individual unit. I must say Dear and I are really excited abt the whole process and of course a little bit of stress involved as this unit is going to be with us for yrs & we cant afford to make any wrong decision.


The 1st day of selection, I believe is on the 24th May.. and till today, there are quite a couple of units that have already been selected.. including some which I thought was quite gd too... :(

MY DIY ROM

Today, I met MAO @ CWP b4 we made our way to Jurong Point together for lunch. After the long lunch time we have, I went to the NTUC XTRA again, with the main agenda -- THE MAKING OF OUR ALBUM... for the ROM.

The making is not as easy as it seems to be. I had headache while doing it bcos there are practically too many choices for mi!!!

Fr the choosing of the pics from wat we have over the 4+ yrs & do editing to them
To the choosing of the album material to the colour.
& Choosing the theme for the album.
& Select Cover picture.
& Arrange flow of the pictures to make sure they can make it within the 11 pgs.
& think wat to write for each pg??
& thk which pics shld b big n which shld b small.
& trying to recall which yr did we go to that place.....

OMG, is so HEADACHE!!

I took abt close to 3 hrs to complete the whole thing & of course I m late in mtg CSF & I have no choice but to force CSF to come to JP as I have to wait 1 hr for my finalised pdt.

After getting the pdt, whoo I mus say the HEADACHE is worth it!!! It is so BEAUTIFUL...

2nd Agenda is to find a frame for the DIY PIC Scape which I had done this morning. OMG... to my disaster, the dimension that I did yesterday was too big to fit into a 8R.. OMG.. must b that I m too slpy so as to make such mistake... Too tired to do anything to solve it tonight.. shall wait for JC to come back.. haha... WIFE's PROB HUSBAND SOLVE

Last Agenda, to settle the pens. The ribbons which I thought will be nice when wrapped aro the pen, turns out to b a great hassle.. haha.. I must say THANK YOU to CSF, who took the trouble the bring the ribbons to try on the pen & walked w me thruout JP to find suitable material for the pens (& frame as well) which has all been rejected by me for various reasons.. haha

Lucky, we made our way back to POPULAR again, & I took her suggestion to get the PARKER pen and do away w the ribbon suggestion.. IT was this pen that catch our attention (cost $27 bucks after CSF's 10% discount)




These 2 days have been a tiring day for me.. rushing thru the sourcing for the DIY ROM w/o Dear's presence. HAHa, lucky for mi, there is CSF to help.. Dear, as requested by CSF.. u shld noe wat to do on yr BIG DAY k... the BIG RED PKT PLS..

My DIY ROM -- Reception Table

Today, or rather yesterday (cos nw is 2.30am), was my 2nd day off.. Dear is away in the army and I decide to make the day fruitful by doing some shopping for the ROM deco. Make my way to Jurong Point in the afternoon. Y JP lei?? Well cos i remember that there is a shop there which sells Pearl String...

The pearl string which costs $1.50 per string was purchased rather fast. Since there is still abt 2 hrs b4 I meet CSF for movie cum dinner, I decided to walk walk aro, to c if I can get some stuff for my ROM.

Just b4 my times up in JP, I found this stall -- HP PRINTING SERVICE
inside NTUC XTRA.. My initial idea is to check out for photo frame, so that I can put my DIY scape pics on the recption table.. Whoo dint noe that they actually provide so many types of printings which is nt normally seen in other competitor outlets.. haha..

I m so attracted to their services I must say. Wat Collage Printing, bannar printing, etc etc.. The collage printing will cost abt $ 28 bucks for a 8R size...
and their album printing cost abt $59 for a 6 full double pges printing.. I AM TEMPTED!! However, since I did nt have pics on hand nw, I decided to go back the nxt day.

The album is gd to show to my guests the adventures that Dear & I have gone thru and the collage can be placed on the recption table as a welcome sign to our guests. The latter was suppose to b done DIY, but the easiness fr HP brings out the laziness in me.. haha

However, due to all the cost constraints, I have decided to try my initial idea of doing a DIY scrape pic @ 12 midnite..





THIS IS THE FINAL PRODUCT!! Hopefully, I can find a frame for it..:)


Ok, enough for all this, is already 3am.. I need to rept to my "Zhou Gong" nw..

Our ROM DIY Starts TODAY!!

JC is called back for reservice again..Haiz.. I just don't understand y is he called every yr as the guy frens around me doesnt seem to be needed so frequently by the army.. Haha.. thk is just Dear's luck ba... Good Luck to you Dear..

But before he set off for his service.. we have decided to search for our DIY ROM stuff cos Dear noes I wil start to be v gang jiong if things r nt done and in term stress him after that.

Haha, we have our heartily breakfast at Swensen as recommended by PAY n CC before we head off to Arab St. The breakfast is super fulfilling..



My main agenda of the day is to get some organza, gerveras etc and we straight away took a train n alight @ Bugis to look for Organza 1st..Today, the weather is super hot outside... esp Arab st... Feel like melting on the way there... Luckily we manage to find this




The salesperson who served us manage to provide us some suggestions after I showed him some of the sample designs that I have in my camera (was not clear as I took those pics fr my PC).. There r some organza that he recommended..





Dear & I decided to pick a white & pink Organza for the Deco & we bought 2mm each for ea colours & they cost...

White Organza: $3/m
Pink Organza: $4/m

I dunno if this is consider cheap but I m just too tired to look for more down the street le.. so after that we quickly head towards the train station.. AIRCON PLS!!

We also went to get some Gerveras from the Shop & Save which costs $4.50 for 6 stalks and a PVC wire securer for $1.50..

Dear & I think that something is still missing.. & I shall do some changes to the design during his absence,... Hopefully I can come up with stg better...
